Paper Hat Tears
The paper hat tear is one of the great pieces of comedy magic: a sheet of tissue paper torn apparently to ruin, then opened out into a wearable hat. It is old, it is simple, and it still stops a room — which is why it has stayed in working repertoires for decades.
Cresey makes them in green and red, yellow, pink, blue, purple and green. The premium version uses a heavier tissue that stands up to more handling, and there is a bulk pack if you run the routine often or teach it.
